Tadpull Establishes Scholarship to Support MSBA First-Generation Students
May 6, 2021
MISSOULA – The University of Montana College of Business, in partnership with Dr. Eulalie and Jacob Cook, is excited to announce a new scholarship to support first-generation students in the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program.
The Janice and Phillip Lopez MSBA Scholarship, established by the Cooks, will be awarded to a first-generation college student pursuing a graduate degree in the UM MSBA program.
"Jan and Phil played a critical role in shaping our lives through the sport of swimming,” Jacob and Eulalie said. “Much of what we learned about work-ethic, perseverance, dreaming big goals and the power of teams comes from the long hours spent in the pool and has served us well in the classroom and the boardroom. We're thrilled to be able to honor their contributions to our lives with a scholarship for UM's MSBA students."
Jacob and Eulalie Cook, owners of Tadpull in Bozeman, Montana which builds artificial intelligence tools for e-commerce companies, also serve as adjunct faculty members in the UM MSBA program. Each spring, the Cooks teach a 15-hour weekend course on the secrets of scaling profitable e-commerce businesses, called Pillars of Profitable E-Commerce. The course is one of the first courses created at the graduate level specifically for the exploding field of E-Commerce.
This is just one of the many cutting-edge courses available in the UM MSBA program. Students can earn their graduate degree within a year from anywhere in the world with the fully flexible program offerings of the UM MSBA program. Whether students choose to attend class in-person, online or a combination of the two, students that complete the 32-credit program have a job placement rate of 97% within three months of graduation.
