An MSBA degree prepares students for positions in data science, data analytics, marketing science, marketing analytics, digital analytics, business intelligence, to name a few. 

The University of Montana offers a range of services to help graduates successfully navigate the transition from the program to their career of choice. UM’s College of Business has an in-house Career Development Office with on-campus recruiting. 

Partnerships – The MSBA program has partnered with the business community and other organizations to provide several resources for graduates. Not only are these partners providing invaluable datasets for students and serving as in class speakers, they also actively look to recruit talent from the program. Having the relationship with these business throughout the year has led to several job placements for previous graduates.

Guest Speakers – Throughout the year, a variety of data analysts from consulting, marketing/ad agency, and client-side perspectives attend present to various classes. These speakers provide useful insight into how companies are using analytics to inform business decisions, as well as a networking opportunity for interested students.

On-Campus Recruiting – Bringing recruiters to the University provides the opportunity for students to connect with employees on campus. It is an excellent way to explore the potential job opportunities in the field and gain interview experience.

Career Resources Center –Access expert advice to help launch your career including assistance with assessing interests, resume development, job searching strategies, and much more.

Handshake – Handshake is the University’s personalized hub for internship and job searching, research and volunteer opportunities, career fairs, events and more. Handshake provides access to internships and jobs on a local, regional, and national scale.
