Josh Herbold named President of State's Largest Accounting Organization
The Montana Society of CPAs (MSCPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joshua Herbold, PhD, CPA, as President of the Board of Directors for 2017-2018. Dr. Herbold is the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Montana’s School of Business Administration. He is the first educator to hold the office of president of MSCPA since 2000.
Originally from Illinois, Josh received both his undergraduate and graduate accounting degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A member of MSCPA since 2007, Dr. Herbold has become a valued leader in Montana’s accounting profession. In 2013, he received the Jack Kempner Outstanding Educator Award at the 100th Annual Meeting. He has become a popular speaker at MSCPA conventions and is the innovator and moderator of the annual “Success in Montana” panel discussions.
Dr. Herbold officially took office on June 22nd at the 104th Annual Conference of the largest accounting association in Montana.
