You Could Win $1,000 With Just One Word

Farran Realty partners and IAMA co-host a naming project

One savvy student at the University of Montana has a chance not only to win $1,000 but also to name a new student living complex.

The student marketing club is very excited about a naming contest they have been hired to run by the Farran Realty Group for a new student living complex.

The new student living complex is being built just across the river near  the Kiwanis Park.  The plans for this student living complex include studios, single apartments and multi-room units.

In addition, the facility is designed to appeal to the active lifestyle of UM students; the complex will include lots of storage space for outdoor recreation gear as well as study lounges, music rooms and game rooms.

The as-yet-to-be-named complex will have high-speed wi-fi, underground parking and secure entry and will be pet-friendly. The facility will have include a variety of retail shops on the ground floor.  Transportation for weekend recreation, including skiing in the winter and floating in the summer, is also part of the plan.  All units will be furnished.

In order to submit a name, students must attend a creative session to ensure the names submitted for the contest will capture its unique nature.

The creative sessions are:

Wednesday, November 9, from 2:30-3:30, or

Tuesday, November 15, from 5:00-6:00

Food and beverages will be served at these creative sessions.

Students who want to attend MUST RSVP to for a headcount at each event.  When they RSVP, they will be provided the location (in the UC) for the creative session.

The student who submits the winning name (one word!) will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and three runners up will also receive cash prizes (between $250 and $500); those names will be used to name the communal spaces in the student living complex.
