Fall Recruiting Season Starts Up
The fall 2015 recruiting season kicks off next week in the School of Business Administration (SoBA). Students will put their networking skills to work during the annual Montana Society of CPA Opportunity Night on Mon., Sept. 14, from 5-8 p.m., at the Double Tree Hotel and Meet the Firms on Tue., Sept. 15, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Business Building. These two events mark the beginning of a busy and exciting couple of months for students.
Students will learn about career opportunities from representatives of local and national firms, many of them UM alumni. Also on hand to share information are UM students who had the opportunity to do internships with the firms over the summer and some who accepted full-time offers for positions after graduation.
In addition to these two events, SoBA offers students several opportunities throughout the semester to meet with employers one-on-one, explore career options and develop relationships before they apply for jobs and internships. It also provides workshops that encourage lifelong career skills.
A strong placement rate with the firms that recruit on campus will mean many students starting internships and career positions at various U.S. locations next summer.
