Accounting Recruiting Heats Up

Accounting firms and other employers of School of Business accounting students are heating up their efforts to hire our students.  According to The College Board, accountants and auditors have the hottest career opportunities compared to all other careers except for elementary teachers.  Over 25 employers have already indicated a desire to hire SoBA accounting students as interns or employees, with most recruiting activities taking place this fall.  To allow students to have more meaningful exposure to accounting employers, some firms are hosting information booths in the Gallagher Building in the month of September and October (shown – Officer of the Comptroller).   Others are holding social and networking events in the evening.    To prepare students, SoBA is holding a series of workshops, resume critiques, and mock interviews.  For more information on recruiting School of Business students, contact Janel Queen (janel.queen@umontana.edu).
