PROFILE:
Klaus Uhlenbruck holds degrees
from the University of Cologne, Germany, and the University of
Colorado, Boulder. Previously, he was on the faculty of Texas A&M
University and currently is also an Adjunct Professor at the
European Business School in Wiesbaden, Germany. He has work experience in the computer, consulting and
retail industries. Klaus teaches graduate and undergraduate courses
in the areas of strategic and international management, and
entrepreneurship. He has been an independent consultant for Chinese
Petroleum Company in Taiwan, Freedom Chemical Company, Prudential
Relocation Services and other organizations.
His research focuses on value creation in
emerging markets including studies on international diversification,
MNE management, mergers and acquisitions, privatization and
corruption. He also studies entrepreneurial processes. His scholarly
articles have been published in Academy of Management Journal,
Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing,
Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management
Studies, Strategic Management Journal and other periodicals. His book, published in German,
is on service strategies for manufacturers. Klaus serves on the
editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of
International Business Studies and the Journal of Management Studies and
is a member of the Academy of International Business, the Academy of
Management and the Strategic Management Society. |
