Site Purpose
This page is devoted to generalized audit software (GAS) resource and information exchange amongst accounting educators. It was initially created in conjunction with a paper published by Marcia Weidenmier and Terri Herron ("Selecting an Audit Software Package for Classroom Use," Journal of Information Systems, Vol. 18, No. 1, 2004).
Contents of this web page will change over time to allow for posted materials to remain current and relevant. Materials referred to in the above article will remain on the site in their original form.
Resources on this site fall into three levels of permitted use:
Copyrighted material (already published somewhere) -- may be used in accordance with applicable copyright laws. There are no direct links to or downloads of copyrighted material, but the site contains references to a number of copyrighted resources (e.g. books, articles).
Instructor-created materials (available via instructor contact) -- may be obtained by directly contacting the instructor. The site provides email or phone contact information.
Instructor-created materials (available via download) -- available for free use. Users are responsible for accuracy of materials and solutions obtained via download. Please acknowledge original creator when using materials outside the classroom (e.g., presentations or papers).
