Personal Summary

Jason earned his PhD in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University.  Jason received his bachelors degree in MIS from Louisiana State University and his masters in MIS with a concentration in geographical information systems from the University of Central Missouri.  Prior to returning for his Ph.D., he worked as a technology and management consultant and a project manager for over ten years at both Accenture and a small niche consulting firm based in Kansas City.  Throughout those 10 years he traveled extensively for work throughout the U.S. and internationally.  He earned his project manager professional certificate (PMP) in 2008.

Jason’s goal as a teacher is to prepare his students to be successful business professionals.  This includes adapting in any situation, working in teams, being a self-starter, learning the business acumen, and allowing technology to help, not hurt.  Jason has taught Introduction to Operations Management, Introduction to Information Systems, Data Analytics (undergraduate and graduate), and Project Management (graduate).

Jason enjoys playing golf, hiking, playing the clarinet, watching football and traveling.  He is still trying to learn to downhill ski, but it is coming along very slowly.  In the past, Jason was a member of the Kansas City Wind Symphony, and taught math GED classes. For both work and pleasure, Jason has visited 48 U.S. states and 31 countries.
