Personal Summary

Dr. Harrington is a graduate of Loyola-Sacred Heart High School in Missoula. Mike graduated from the COB (accounting & finance emphasis) and the UM School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Montana Law Review.  He practiced law in the Bellevue, WA office of Davis Wright Tremaine, an international law firm, for a couple of years before moving to Butte to work as in-house counsel for The Montana Power Company.  He was hired as Associate Dean at the COB in 2003.  After serving in that capacity for 10 years, Mike became a full-time faculty member.  Over the years, he has taught a law and ethics course to Master's of Accountancy students and law and ethics courses to undergradudate students.  He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of First Security Bank - Missoula, a division of Glacier Bancorp, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Montana Healthcare Foundation, an organization based out of Bozeman focused on improving the health and wellness of all Montanans.
