MAcct Mission Statement
The Master of Accountancy program provides breadth and depth in accounting, taxation, and business to develop a high level of understanding, skill, and leadership capability for advancement in the accounting profession and other related business careers.
History
The Master of Accountancy (MAcct) Program has been offered by The University of Montana in Missoula since 1992. Since its inception, this graduate program has been accredited as part of the School of Business Administration. Also, the MAcct and undergraduate accounting programs have held separate AACSB accounting accreditation since 2001.
At-A-Glance
Ninety percent or greater of our MAcct students have jobs either before they graduate or within three months of graduation. Although a class is offered at the end of the program to help you pass the CPA exam, this is only one learning goal of the program. The structure of the MAcct ensures that you have the overall skills to be a strong, productive member of the accounting profession when you graduate.
