frustrate you?
·
Personnel
o
Think of a person
you are working with who is good at what they do. What do you
admire about them? How do you think they achieve that? Are his
or her achievements due in part to a well-run company or is the
company well-run because of this person? (Think if someone else
was in that person’s position. Could they do just as well?)
o
How would you
describe the atmosphere in the company? Hierarchical vs.
flat? People working as a team or as individuals?
Professional vs. casual? What is the morale of the employees?
Describe how any of the above conditions make you feel and why
you think they occur.
·
Skills and
Abilities

abilities above, which of those do you think are teachable in
the classroom and which can only really be learned on-the-job?

Are there any
particular classes you have taken at UM that may have helped you
in this internship?
·
Technology
o
How would you
describe the technological level of the company?
o
Do you think that
certain types of technological improvements would actually be
improvements, or is the current method of doing things fine?
What improvements would you suggest?
·
Organization

Is it clear who
does what or do jobs overlap? Does the organizational structure
of people work well for the company?
o
Is it easy to find
the information you need?
o
Are procedures
written down? Is it clear how to proceed?
o
Are there any
procedures that you would change if you could? Describe what
the changes would be and why you would change them?
o
Are there any
procedures that you think are interesting or different?
·
Some of the
questions above deal with what things you would change or
improve if you could. For these questions, think about the
following:
·
Why would you
change it? How would you change it? Would the change be
financially feasible? Would it take a while to implement at
first, but be more efficient later? What things (or people) do
you think would support such a change and why?
