Welcome to the University of Montana School of Business undergraduate information resource. The staff of the Undergraduate Advising Office are eager and prepared to assist SOBA students with multiple university procedures. Transfer students and Business majors of sophomore, junior, or senior status may find assistance with general education curriculum and business curriculum planning. The Advising Office is a source for SOBA forms, university forms, and registration materials. Drop in advising is available during business hours for current students and appointments with prospective students are also available. New business students will attend the New Student Orientation in the beginning of the semester to become familiar with the business and university curriculum. The Undergraduate Advising Office is committed to assisting students as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

The mission of academic advising is to provide:

(a) vital links between students and the University through guidance with choice of major, course schedule planning and registration support;

(b) assistance with life/career goal planning; and

(c) other mentoring activities leading to student independence, responsible decision making, and persistence toward degree completion.
