The Harold and Priscilla Gilkey Executive Lecture Series
Glenn S. Johnson, President of Horizon Air, Inc, met with students, faculty and community members at the School of Business Administration on April 28 as part of the Harold and Priscilla Gilkey Executive Lecture Series.
During his visit to campus, Johnson guest lectured in upper-division marketing and management courses and also delivered a public lecture titled “Navigating through Change: Alaska Air Group 2000-2010 and Beyond.” A link to the webcast of Johnson’s public presentation, along with those of previous Gilkey Distinguished Lecturers, is listed in the sidebar.
Connecting Students with Global Business Leaders
During each fall and spring semester The University of Montana School of Business Administration hosts the Harold and Priscilla Gilkey Executive Lecture Series. The series is designed to provide students, faculty, and the community with a forum whereby they have direct access to business leaders.
Gilkey Executive Lecturers address issues across marketing, management, finance, ethics, and leadership. In addition to leading classroom lectures and discussion, speakers present a lecture at a public forum on a topic of their choice and are invited to meet with graduate students and campus and community leaders. Participating executives enjoy dynamic conversation and the exchange of ideas with our eager students.
We welcome and encourage executives to share their stories of challenges and success with our students, faculty and community. As business professionals generously enrich us all with their experiences and insights, the UM School of Business Administration offers its appreciation and promises this - the thinking is clearer up here.
