Dr. Regel is a Professor at the University of Montana and is currently teaching in the managerial and cost management areas.  He completed a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1985.  

Prior to entering academia, Dr. Regel worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).  He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and American Accounting Association.

Dr. Regel’s research interests include human information processing & decision-making and business education in developing nations.  The latter interest has been stimulated by his participation in education programs in Russia, Malaysia, Australia, and South America. 

Publications include articles in the Journal of Cost Management, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Advances in Accounting, Forest Products Journal, and Personnel Administrator.
