At the website you will find definitions, specifications, news, research studies and insightful articles on the use of wireless, broadband, rich media, e-mail, Internet appliances and ITV by marketers to achieve marketing goals. f special interest are the weekly Flash and superstitial impression stat reports, broken down by industry and genre.

Websitegarage.com:  provides services for maintaining and improving web sites. 
Usability.gov:  Developed by the National Cancer Institute to assist overall communications and design efforts, this site is a wonderful resource for anyone involved in creating websites and user interfaces. The site publishes original content in addition to links to external sites, resources, and articles.  Topics include usability basics, design methods, lessons learned, server log analysis, stats and market research, accessibility resources, guidelines and checklists, events and meetings. Jakob Nielsen is an important resource, and there are others worth checking out.

ZDNet E-Commerce Best Practices:  This site gives best practices on all aspects of e-commerce with examples of what works, what doesn't work, and why.

Business 2.0 Web Guide: Web Usability:   A guide to usability in one neat package. Includes resources (conferences, organizations, companies) and business-focused articles and editorials.Here you can read about the business impact of usability firsthand.

useit.com:  Jakob Nielsen has been called the "world's leading expert on usability." His site is a fantastic resource for those who want to stay up-to-date with usability trends and news.  Sign up for Alertbox, and you will receive a biweekly notice when a new column is published. At the site, you will find lots of resources and news, as well as links to (fee-based) reports that look very promising.

CEO's Web Review:  Reviews six Websites from a business point of view.  Includes useful resources, although a bit dated.  

Webpagesthatsuck.com  This site is an effective yet entertaining way to see where others have erred. Take an annotated tour ("The Topic Is: Pretentious Front Page"), tune in for the Daily Sucker, sign up for the free newsletter and peruse the Web design resources and books.

Search Engine Positioning:  

Lookoff.com:  Helps select the best search engine depending upon the topic one is searching for.  Includes articles about search engine positioning, etc.  

TrafficMagnet.net  Uses technology that will submit your website to over 300,000 search engines and directories every month.

Search Engine Watch:  Search Engine Submission Tips and Search Engine Listings for the basics.

Search Engine Guide:  A variety of articles and opinions on search engines. Check out Wordtracker's Top 500 Keywords of the Week. The Search Engine Directory area lists engines by category: search, pay per click, meta search, directories, business, computing, shopping, entertainment, people and miscellaneous.

Keywordcount.com:  Allows you to determine the keyword frequency as a percentage of total words (excluding HTML tags), and compare those numbers to those of another URL. So, if you want to know why another site of the same subject ranks higher than yours does, enter both your URL and the other URL and see how many keywords come up. Service is free..

WebPositionGold:  Helps get your web site to the top of search results. It helps you optimize your pages for better ranking, automatically submits your site to the most important engines, and can track and report your keyword positions and visitor traffic. Sign up for a free trial; if you like it, the cost is $149(US) for the Standard Edition. If you're a webmaster handling more than one site, go for the Professional Edition at $349(US).

Position Agent:  Tells you where your site ranks. Enter your URL and keyword and you'll see the position and page of your site's ranking on AltaVista, Google, MSN, Yahoo and Yahoo Web. Position Agent focuses on these engines and the changes they make to their technology. For $60(US) for a one-year license, you get weekly graphic reports for the keywords and pages you choose. Although you'll get notice of changes, it appears that you have to make site adjustments yourself.

InvisibleWeb:  A directory of over 10,000 databases, archives, and search engines that contain information traditional search engines have been unable to access. Rather than searching databases individually, you can search many of them in one place at InvisibleWeb. For example, pick a subject like computers/technology. A list of options is returned - "I want to find articles on E-commerce."

CompareYourClicks:  This site offers real time comparisons for the Pay Per Click (PPC) search engines such as Kanoodle.com,7search.com, Bay9.com, findwhat.com, Goto.com, efind.com, Ah-ha.com, and GoClick.com.

Keyword Spy:  This website offers wide range of features for competitive intelligence and keyword research needs of advertisers.
