PROFILE:
Dr. Herron is the Chair of the Accounting & Finance department and teaches Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, and Financial Accounting.  In 2005 she received the John Ruffatto Memorial Award for bringing practical experience into her classroom.

Dr. Herron researches behavioral issues of auditing and educational issues of AIS. Additional research interests include independence and ethics in accounting.  She has published in a number of journals, including Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Journal of Information Systems, Business Ethics Quarterly, and CPA Journal.  She serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Accounting Education. 

Dr. Herron is a member of the AICPA, Montana Society of CPAs (MSCPA), American Accounting Association, and the Information System Audit and Control Association. She has served on the Board of Directors of the MSCPA.

Dr. Herron is a CPA and a CISA.
