PROFILE:
Larry Gianchetta, Dean of the School of Business Administration at
The University of Montana, received his Ph. D. in Mathematical
Statistics at Texas A&M University in 1975. In the summer of 1990,
Dr. Gianchetta attended Harvard University and went through their
Management Development Program. He was a visiting scholar at Nankai
University in Tianjin, China, in the spring of 1992 and has also
lectured at Toyo University in Tokyo, Japan.
Larry has served as
a consultant to many companies, primarily in the areas of research
and development - more specifically marketing research. Dean
Gianchetta serves on many boards. He is currently: chief executive
officer of the Montana Business Connections: the Entrepreneurship
Center, a member of the Governor's Task Force on Economic
Development, a member of the Montana Ambassadors, UM representative
of the Montana World Trade Center, a member of the Montana Science
and Technology Development Board, a member of the Montana District
Export Council, a trustee of the Community Medical Center
Foundation, a board member for the Missoula Economic Development
Corporation, on the advisory board for Norwest Bank, on the board
for Extended Family Services, a member of the Missoula Chamber
Rangers, and on the Missoula Chamber Board.
