PROFILE:
Dr. Cleveland's areas of expertise are operations management and operations research.  He has held various engineering positions in the aerospace and defense industries.  He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1986.  Dr. Cleveland is an active member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).  APICS  designated him a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management in 1992.

Dr. Cleveland  has published in Decision Sciences, the Journal of Operations management, and the International Journal of Operations and Production Management.  His current research interests are in operations strategy and process control.  His current pedagogical interest is distance learning, where he has developed and delivered graduate level courses on the internet and interactive, closed circuit TV.
