PROFILE:
Teresa Beed received her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado,
Boulder.
Her major teaching areas are financial accounting at the
undergraduate level and accounting theory at the graduate level. She
is also the Director of the Masters of Accountancy Program. Her most
recent research interests include areas related to teaching and
recruiting.
In Spring of 2003, 2005, and 2007 Professor Beed was awarded the
Masters of Accountancy Outstanding Teaching Award (voted on by MAcct
students) and in 2004 and 2006 she received the Beta Alpha Psi
Outstanding Teaching Award (voted on by undergraduate students in
the Department of Accounting and Finance.) In Spring 2007 she also
received the John Ruffatto Memorial Award for her work to bring the
‘real world’ into her classes.
Dr. Beed is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the
Institute of Management Accountants, and the Montana Society of
CPAs.
