PROFILE:
Belva L. Jones, Associate Professor of Information Systems, has a
Ph.D. (1976) in Management Science from Oklahoma State University, a
MBA degree from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor of Science in
Business from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She was certified as a Quality Engineer by the American Society for
Quality in 1997.
Belva teaches courses in the information systems
area, including visual basic programming and telecommunications.
She also teaches a business core course that integrates systems and
operations topics. She has publications in Quality Progress,
Quality Engineering, Decision Sciences, Simulation and Games,
and Personnel Administrator.
She has served as president of the Montana chapter
of the American Statistical Association, president of the Southwest
Region of Decision Sciences Institute, and vice president and member
of the Board of Directors for Decision Sciences Institute.
