Certificate Requirements

Students of Entertainment Management must be registered students of The University of Montana. This specialized Certificate in Entertainment Management is designed to allow students to learn and demonstrate advanced skills in specific areas related to careers in the business of entertainment. Students must complete the following courses of study to earn a Certificate in Entertainment Management.

Required Courses:

BMGT 401 Event Management (Offered Fall Only)

BMGT 402 Principles of Entertainment Management I

BMGT 403 Principles of Entertainment Management II (Offered Spring Only)

Plus three of the following electives: (Required)

MAR 111A Fundamentals of Integrated Digital Arts

R-TV 251 Introduction to Radio-Television Production

MAR 112A Introduction to Non-linear Editing

MUSI 132L: History of Rock & Roll

PSC 466 Nonprofit Administration & Public Service

BFIN 205 Personal Finance

BMGT 375 Business of Film & TV (Offered Spring Only)

BMGT 275 Venue Management (Offered Fall Only)

BMGT 474 Entertainment Planning & Research
