MADE : Montana Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs

Celebrating Entrepreneurship, Recognizing Success, Inspiring the Future

The Pioneer in Industry Award

The Pioneer in Industry Award honors entrepreneurs with extraordinary professional achievements who have served as pioneers in their field.

The University of Montana School of Business Administration and the Montana Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs (MADE) created the Pioneer in Industry Award to enhance the entrepreneurship opportunities for UM students and to inspire Montana’s future generation of entrepreneurs.

The award is presented to pioneers and innovators who have been recognized as leaders in their industry. Recipients also demonstrate a sense of social responsibility through positive contributions they make to the communities in which they live.

All of the award recipients embody these characteristics and serve as exemplary role models for our students, faculty, administrators and the Montana community at large.

Honorees Visit Campus

MADE celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship by creating the opportunity for UM students to engage recipients and learn about their paths to success. The honorees spend a day on campus with students prior to holding a public talk and participating in an evening award ceremony and reception with faculty, students, administrators and the community.
