SoBA International Activities

Germany Group 2011

The University of Montana School of Business Administration prepares students to compete successfully in a globally competitive economic environment.

International opportunities include:

  • courses with an international focus taught at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • international exchange opportunities for students and faculty
  • faculty-directed study-abroad courses during the academic year and summer

Each of these opportunities exposes our students to people, cultures, and ways of doing business in other countries.

SoBA Courses with an International Focus

Business students can contact Professor Nader Shooshtari, International Programs Director for the UM School of Business Administration, to learn more about study-abroad or international exchange opportunities: nader.shooshtari@business.umt.edu.

Montana World Trade Center

The School of Business Administration is also home to the Montana World Trade Center (MWTC). The MWTC works to increase international trade through public-private partnerships, business networking, and student education. In addition to being the only academic affiliated WTC, the MWTC also offers internship experiences for SoBA students.

Office of International Programs

We also encourage students to take advantage of additional study-abroad and exchange programs offered by other UM academic units through UM's Office of International Programs, and in cooperation with academic institutions across the country.
